pianoSonoma Rosé

A lighter tasting of the pianoSonoma experience for music-lovers of all backgrounds.

A small group of musicians play together. They are led by a person who is wearing a burgundy shirt.

Participants will perform in or observe daily performance classes, learn from world-class Artists in Residence in creative group classes, and participate in an optional final performance.

We welcome observers, all instruments, and pre-formed chamber groups.

Location 

The Green Music Center at Sonoma State University.

Most performance and group classes will take place in the stunning Schroeder Hall.

  • Performer: $675

    Observer: $375

    Lunch in the cafeteria on Thursday-Saturday is included in your tuition.

    Additional fees may be required for optional dinners, concerts, and special events during our festival.

    2. Submit a non-refundable $25 application fee via check by mail or via Zelle.

  • This three-day program is geared for the music-lover who would like to experience pianoSonoma without a full one-week commitment. You may choose to attend as a performer or as an observer.

  • We encourage you to attend with a pre-formed chamber group or duo. Our Artists in Residence will work with you and your group in our performance classes.

  • Wednesday

    3-5pm Check-in at Schroeder Hall at the Green Music Center

    6pm Opening welcome dinner at a local restaurant (cost not included in tuition)

    9:30-11:30am Performance classes

    Lunch in the cafeteria

    1:30-3pm Creative class led by an Artist in Residence

    Friday

    9:30-11:30am Performance classes

    Lunch in the cafeteria

    1:30-3pm Creative class led by an Artist in Residence

    Saturday

    9:30-11:30am Performance classes

    Lunch in the cafeteria

    1:30pm Final participant and Artist in Residence concert in Schroeder Hall

    *Past classes have included “Think like a Chamber Musician: Strategies and games to build your flexibility and adaptability on and off the stage, ” “Piano Technique Class,” and “Improvisation and Communication: Using the language of music as a medium for spontaneous dialogue among artists.”

    **Each participant will receive assigned individual practice time.
