Solo Instrument + Trio

Please join us for the thirteenth season of pianoSonoma in July 2023. The festival will be hosted by the Green Music Center at Sonoma State University with lessons, coachings, classes, and performances all taking place at SSU.

Our Solo Instrument + Trio program is an exclusive program designed for our most advanced and experienced participants.

2023 pianoSonoma Summer Festival Dates:

Session I: Sunday, July 16 –  Saturday, July 21, 2023

Session II: Sunday, July 23 – Saturday, July 28, 2023

Lessons

You will receive three 45-minute private lessons with faculty members and Artists in Residence. These lessons will be tailored to fit your needs and wishes. We encourage participants to bring already-polished repertoire for our many performance opportunities, as well as new pieces.

Collaboration

We offer a unique opportunity for you to collaborate with two of our Artist in Residence instrumentalists. You will receive three 45-minute guided rehearsals with these gifted fellows. These will be in-depth trio rehearsals, so please come prepared for a rich, musical immersion.

Performance Classes

We will have four 60 to 90-minute performance classes led by pianoSonoma faculty and Artists in Residence. One of the highlights of our festival, we provide a supportive, intimate, and private environment for you to conquer performance anxiety and to experience the reward of sharing your passion for music on-stage.

Performances

You are welcome to perform a solo or trio selection (no more than ten minutes in duration) for our final participant concert.

pianoSonoma faculty and Artists in Residence will also perform in community concerts throughout the week at various venues.
