Vicky Wang

Vicky WangWinner of the Young Artist International Competition, cellist Vicky Wang made her New York debut in 2001 at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall. Since then, she has appeared in solo and chamber music recitals in the United States, Taiwan, Japan, Italy, and Switzerland.

Prior to relocating to California, she served on the faculty of Mannes College of Music of New School University and the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. She maintains an active solo, chamber music performing and teaching schedule in Palo Alto, CA. Her students have been featured regularly as concerto soloists with El Camino Youth Symphony, California Youth Symphony, and Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra; they are also participants and merit scholarship recipients at renowned summer music festivals such as Music@Menlo, Interlochen Summer Music Academy, Meadowmount Music Festival, and Idyllwild Arts Academy. Ms Wang is also a founding member of C’est Bon Chamber Music Academy, a summer chamber music program dedicated to elementary-middle school age young musicians in Los Altos, CA.

Ms. Wang holds her D.M.A. degree from the City University of New York and received her B.M. and M.M. degrees from The Juilliard School. Her primary teachers have included Eleonore Schoenfeld, Zara Nelsova, Darrett Adkins, and Joel Krosnick.
