What to Bring
The Boston Conservatory at Berklee is located in the heart of Boston, MA and is within walking distance of the city’s best concert halls and finest cuisine. We are delighted to get to know our new participants and welcome back old friends! When preparing for your trip, please remember to bring the following items:
Repertoire (two copies): Remember to bring your personal copy of assigned repertoire along with any additional pieces you would like to study in your private lessons. For chamber pieces, please bring any individual instrument parts as well as a score for Artists in Residence. Please also bring one additional copy of your pieces for use in performance classes and lessons.
In consultation with our Artistic Directors, choose ONE short piece or ONE movement from a larger piece to work on with your assigned Artist in Residence. Feel free to bring additional solo works, including at least one piece that you would feel comfortable performing.
Metronome / Practice Aids: We strongly encourage you to bring a metronome. If you normally practice with other practice aids, we encourage you to bring those as well.
Recital attire: There will be a final participant recital at the end of the week for which you may want to dress up.
